Fil-Am Cuisine

Fil-Am cuisine has some of the best pork BBQ skewers around.

Fil-Am Cuisine is located in Daly City (map). There’s also a second location in South San Francisco, but the Daly City one is the original. If you have to pick between the two, I’d say go for the one in Daly City. It’s to-go only, but you really get to see them cooking a bunch of skewers.

The counter where you order food. It’s cash only, but pretty affordable.

My partner and I go here mainly for the pork bbq skewers. They also have chicken bbq skewers and other Filipino food, but their main claim-to-fame is their barbecue.

They make a ton of skewers, and I mean a ton. I really need to see if I have a photo of their ceiling because it is dark with the amount of smoke that’s caked up there from barbecuing so much.

Their pancit, which is also really good. I think this was under $6.

Anyhoo, like I said, my partner and I go here a bunch for their barbecue. I think it was originally recommended to us by my mom, who got it recommended through my cousin.

Other places in the Bay to get pork bbq skewers? There’s Seafood City in Milpitas, but I feel like they run out of their pork skewers way too fast (whereas Fil-Am just constantly makes more. They’ve only run out once on me.). You can also check out Isla Restaurant, but that’s a sit-down place.
