Making a baked potato is cheap and easy. The only hard part for me is remembering the temperature to set the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 Russet potato (aka Idaho potato)
- Salt
- Extra virgin olive oil
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Wash the potato

Poke holes in the potato with a fork or skewer
Notes
This supposedly lets steam escape, though I’m just cargo-culting here since I’ve never actually tried it without doing this. - Coat the potato with the olive oil
- Rub a small amount of salt on the exterior
- Bake at 350°F for about an hour
